The founder of GreenBridge CFO Resources, Jim Green, saw a need for privately owned businesses and professional firms to take advantage of advances in technology and financial tools to increase their business success. He has witnessed too many businesses struggle under the burden of chaotic processes, poorly trained staff, outdated software and untimely and/or error-prone information. He created GreenBridge CFO Resources to help business owners and leaders gain more visibility into their operations…to make better decisions using real-time information…and in the end, to make more money. The focus is on automating accounting processes, generating real-time performance metrics and forward-looking guidance. GreenBridge works with owners and CEOs as a member of their management team, as a part-time virtual CFO that provides the expertise and judgement to steer away from trouble and toward their goals. They partner with a client’s existing accounting staff, or the accounting functions can be outsourced to GreenBridge.
Jim Green is an accomplished financial executive with a proven ability to implement financial strategies and processes that lead to higher net income, positive cash flow and attractive return on investment. He has over 27 years of experience in financial management and working with owners and CEOs to guide businesses and professional firms to where they want to go. Prior to starting GreenBridge CFO Resources, he served as an executive and consultant (Director of Accounting & Financial Outsourcing) at a regional public accounting firm. In that role, Jim helped closely-held businesses move to the cloud in order to take advantage of accounting automation tools–saving clients time and money. He also served as virtual CFO for several businesses that needed a higher level of financial expertise without the expense of a full-time CFO. He particularly enjoys helping clients use financial forecasts and business performance metrics to navigate toward achieving their goals.
Jim has earned certification in two leading cloud-based accounting systems which allow him to be more effective in creating the right system for a business. He is a Xero Certified Advisor and also a Certified Intacct Accounting Specialist. Both Xero and Intacct offer desirable pathways to take advantage of cloud-based technologies.
Jim has a BBA and MBA in finance from the University of Kentucky.
